Carbon reduction
PAS 2080:2023 Carbon management in buildings and infrastructure, second edition, published by The British Standards Institution in March 2023, defines carbon reduction as the: ‘…process of minimizing greenhouse gas emissions in the development of new, or the refurbishment of existing, assets or networks. NOTE The outcome of carbon reduction process is a quantified reduction in existing sources of GHG emissions or the avoidance of GHG emissions.’
